1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of the Zeb platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you are using Zeb on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Platform Description

Zeb is a visitor identification and access-tracking platform for buildings in Ethiopia. The platform supports ID-based visitor verification, host or unit tracking, guest appointments, guard shift tracking, item logging, check-in and checkout records, and premises activity visibility. The platform includes a web dashboard for property managers and a mobile application for security guards.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Ensuring that all users in your organisation who access Zeb comply with these Terms.
• Providing accurate information when creating your account and setting up your building profile.

You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Zeb only for its intended purpose of managing building security operations. You must not:

• Use Zeb for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Ethiopian law.
• Enter false, misleading, or fabricated visitor records into the platform.
• Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt any part of the Zeb infrastructure.
• Use Zeb to collect or store personal data beyond what is necessary for building security operations.
• Share your account credentials with individuals who are not authorised users of your organisation.

5. Data and Privacy

The data you enter into Zeb - including visitor records, guard shift data, and building information - remains your organisation's data. Zeb processes this data on your behalf in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Zeb, including the collection of visitor ID data, complies with all applicable Ethiopian privacy and data protection laws.

6. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable, high-availability access to the Zeb platform. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or emergency repairs that temporarily affect availability. We will endeavour to provide advance notice for planned maintenance.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, design, trademarks, and content that make up the Zeb platform are owned by Zeb.et. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Zeb platform without our written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ethiopian law, Zeb is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of Zeb is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time by providing written notice. Upon termination, you may request an export of your building's data. We will retain data for a reasonable period after termination before deletion, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Zeb platform after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
