• Account information - When you create a Zeb account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and organisation details.
• Building and visitor data - When your building uses Zeb, we collect visitor records including visitor names, document type, ID numbers, host or destination units, expected-guest appointment details, entry and exit timestamps, guard activity, and item logs. This data is entered by guards or authorized building users using the Zeb mobile app and dashboard.
• Guard shift data - We collect guard shift start and end times, activity counts, and associated visitor records.
• Usage data - We collect information about how you interact with the Zeb platform, including device type, browser type, IP address, and pages visited.
• Communications - If you contact us by email or through the demo request form, we collect the information you provide.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Zeb platform.
• Create and maintain visitor logs and guard shift records for your building.
• Give property managers and security companies access to building activity data.
• Respond to your enquiries and demo requests.
• Send service-related communications, including updates and security notices.
• Analyse usage patterns to improve the platform.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use visitor data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to data is restricted to authorised personnel and to platform users with appropriate permissions.

While we take security seriously, no system is completely immune to risk. We encourage you to use strong passwords and to contact us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only in the following circumstances:

• Within your organisation - Property managers, security companies, and guards associated with your building can access the data for that building according to their assigned permissions.
• Service providers - We use third-party services (such as cloud infrastructure and email providers) that process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements - We may disclose data if required by Ethiopian law or a valid legal process.

5. Retention

We retain visitor and guard shift records for as long as your building account is active, plus a reasonable period thereafter to allow for incident investigations and audits. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal and contractual obligations).
